چکیده

Lignocellulosic biomass is the most plentiful of all naturally occurring organic compounds. Conversion cellulosic polymers into useful products by fermentation involves two stages: firstly conversion cellulose to glucose cellulase, and secondly microbial resulting products. The experiments were conducted obtain xylanase enzyme from Aspergillus niger strain AUMC 14230 using corn cob (1%) as main component in media. carried out laboratory Soil, Water Environmental Institute, Giza Egypt. To achieve this target. best carbon source study 1% concentration. ideal nitrogen steep liquor (CSL) 3% highest production was obtained when we used modified medium (corn 1%, wheat bran1% CSL 3%). environmental conditions give both enzymes found as: inoculum size 0.50% (v/ml), initial pH 4.5, aeration 1:5 (Vm:Vf), incubation temperature 50oC, agitation rate 175 rpm time course 72 hr.

Effect of Medium Composition on Xylanase Production by Bacillus subtilis using Various Agricultural Wastes

In the present study a strain of Bacillus subtilis-BS05 was grown in submerged fermentation of agricultural wastes for xylanolytic activity. Various agricultural wastes such as sugarcane bagasse, wheat straw, rice husk, soybean meal, corn cobs and wheat bran were evaluated for xylanolytic acitivity using different media (M-I, M-II, M-III & M-IV). Among all these tested substrates maximum xylano...

Production of Cellulases and Xylanase by Thermophilic and Alkaliphilic Bacterial Strains Isolated from Agricultural Wastes

Seven agricultural wastes named wheat bran (WB), rice straw (RS), wheat straw (WS), corn cob (CC), sugarcane bagasse (SCB), potato peal (PP) and banana peal (BP) were used for isolation of bacterial strains and as substrate for cellulases (CMCase, FPase and avicelase) and xylanase production. Five of the isolated strains were thermophilic and alkaliphilic. These bacterial isolates were tested t...

Utilization of Agro-industrial Wastes for the Simultaneous Production of Amylase and Xylanase by Thermophilic Actinomycetes

Agro-industrial wastes such as sugarcane bagasse, wheat bran, rice bran, corn cob and wheat straw are cheapest and abundantly available natural carbon sources. The present study was aimed to production of amylase and xylanase simultaneously using agro-industrial waste as the sole carbon source. Seven thermophilic strains of actinomycete were isolated from the mushroom compost. Among of these, s...

Ethanol production from agricultural wastes using Sacchromyces cervisae

The main objective of this study was production of ethanol from three lignocellulosic biomasses like sugarcane bagasse, rice straw and wheat straw by Sacchromyces cervisae. All the three substrates were ground to powder form (2 mm) and pretreated with 3%H2O2 + 2% NaOH followed by steaming at 130 °C for 60 min. These substrates were hydrolyzed by commercial cellulase enzyme. The whole fermentati...
